A SERIOUS COMMITMENT

This blog post is related to my most recent posting... I believe it is a serious commitment to develop a devotional life. In my last blog posting I referred to developing a strategy to fulfill your commitment to develop a devotional life. This is so important... But, part of a strategy includes being prepared...
Preparing to develop a successful devotional life will include prioritizing. May I suggest the following:
1) Before you email and facebook - make it your priority to read the Bible (and or spend a few minutes in prayer). You may want to log your email, facebook activity, and Bible reading to see a clear picture of how you are spending your time. This will help you recognize if you are living out your priorities...
2) Another step of preparation includes writing (or typing) your priorities. I can't tell you what your priorities are... But, I can encourage you with this helpful hint to help you execute your priorities.

Let me know how it is going! Let me know what God is doing in your life!!!

Setting your priorities.. Absolutely. God asks us to love Him first with all of our heats, mind, soul, and spirit. By setting aside time with Him we can develop and grow our relationship with our heavenly Father. I have spent the last several years committed to developing my devotional life. And God has blessed me as a result.

I would like to share with you two testimonies from my prayer team at work. God is an awesome God..

On Wednesday we prayed for the mother of one of our prayer members, who had a very bad infection and was not able to have the surgery she needed to repair her hip as she had fallen. By Saturday the infection was gone and was able to have the surgery she needed. The testimony given below is giving God the praise He deserves for His healing power.

Let me break that up. Hal-lelu-jah!!!!
That is the HIGHEST praise that I have for our Lord and Savior today!

My mom had a successful surgery and is slowly recovering in Holy Cross Hospital!

Another day; another miracle! Again, I say Hallelujah!

We prayed for Sharetha during our prayer time at work which is held on Wednesday and Friday for a couple of weeks that the Lord would heal her from her depression and restore her marriage relationship. God does more than we ask or imagine.

Praise the LORD everyone . I missed the prayer group on yesterday . It is a positive aspect of my life .
I would like to share a praise report . Recently I asked for prayer for my cousin regarding her being depressed due divorce (her and husband) . Also the family learned she was diagnosed with cervical cancer . She went to the doctor yesterday due to her not feeling well . Plus she was so depressed she had stopped eating . Yet the doctors found a miraculous thing . The doctors examined my cousin Sharetha . They found she has pnemonia but found no traces of cancer in her body . She had no chemo or radiation . She prayed fervently , took vitamins daily and ate only organic foods . GOD is a HEALER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to share a personal testimony with ya'll.

I learned today that a man I prayed with recently, his wife too, who suffers from alcohol addiction has not had any cravings, dreams, or desires for alcohol since our prayer together. I thank God our Father and give Him praise and believe that this healing is permanent.

Thanks Pastor Mike.. I also have another one to share..

I have a testimony to share with ya'll.. I, and I am sure others, prayed for my brother and sister-in-law to concieve and have a baby boy and that God would bring them both to salvation through that baby. They are now the proud parents of a, you guessed it, baby boy. He has anwered two of the three part prayer and I know without a doubt they both will come ot know Christ as their Lord and Savior. Let me give you some back ground information. She was barren as well as diabetic. When they delivered the baby, via c-section, they found tumors in her uterous and on the only overy she has thus explaining the reason she was barren. On Satuday February 7, 2009 I found out that since the baby was born 2 months ago, she is no longer an insulin dependant diabetic, lost 60 pounds and is on a normal diet. God is AWESOME!!!!

Can not remember all of the details but the little boy we prayed for who had something wrong with his spine, it was growing to the left, got test results back today. First of all.. He was not scheduled for the test until end of February and results were to be given to them by end of March.. Through prayer, God allowed them to get down to Louisiana this past Sunday for testing on Monday and they received the results by Wednesday.. He does not require any type of surgery.. PRAISE GOD!! They do not believe it is anything super serious.. Maybe as simple as a vitamin deficiency.. He still has testing to do.. I will let you know when I know...

Praise to God our Father, to Him be Glory and Majesty forever and ever.. AMEN!!!!
